Don’t spend a fortune visiting a nude beach in Europe or a clothing-optional resort in the Caribbean when you can turn your attention to good ol’ Florida. The Sunshine State is widely known for swamps and Disney World, which is why many are unaware that it’s a gold mine of naturist resorts and bars.

Each birthday suit hotspot has its own rules about nudity, but all seek to create a safe and welcoming environment for those who practice naturism. So, pack the essentials and get ready to lather sunscreen on those places where the sun don’t shine: a budget-friendly nude vacation is waiting in Florida.

Tiny peach dots are nude swimmers. The white buildings with metal roofs sprawl out around the lake, the shore lined thickly with green trees. A campground with colorful tents appears amongst the foliage and two orange kayaks at in the middle of the lake.

Families may want to forgo a camper or tent and book one of Lake Como Resort’s cottages, cabins or motel rooms for more comfort and space. Don’t wear yourself out during the day, either – the Butt Hutt Bar has live musical performances that will have those bare buns sashaying into the night.

Even naturists like their adult-time and that’s where the clothing-optional steps in. Located in Land O' Lakes, Florida, this Caribbean-style resort with its lagoon-like pools is only open to guests 21 and over. Caliente Club and Resorts is the type of place where travelers can stay in a modern condo or apartment and pamper themselves with yoga classes, fine dining, and a spa. It may be an adults-only property, but don’t get it twisted – this is not a swinger’s resort. Overt sexual behavior is not acceptable in public spaces, so keep it PG.
