About Emily
I’ve been travel writing for many years, and my writing and photography has appeared in publications around the world. I also have a few travel writing awards under my belt to boot. Travel writing in all its forms is a passion and I spent three years on the board of the Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW) – Australia’s peak body for travel media, have appeared on podcasts and radio as a travel expert, and have judged international travel writing competitions. I love the feeling of arriving in a new destination and slowly watching the destination come to life as I leave the airport or station – watching the street signs, trees, people and buildings whiz past. I spent a few years living in Portugal, so I have a soft spot for Europe, and also love exploring my own backyard in Australia. But hey, I’m not fussy.
