About Janet
Janet Gyenes is an award-winning writer, photographer and author whose wanderlust has taken her to 40 countries. Some of her favourite experiences include horseback riding with gauchos in Argentina, camping on the Great Wall and hiking the hills on the Amalfi Coast. Being outdoors is her thing.
Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Janet lived in Shanghai for three years before making her base in Central Arizona, then migrating back to the cooler climes of the Pacific Northwest. Although she misses the chaos of a mega city and exploring the diversity of the desert, there’s nothing quite like living near the Pacific Ocean, in a rainforest surrounded by mountains.
