About Nellie
A Singaporean by birth and global citizen by choice, I’m a serial expat and travel writer with over 14 years of writing experience. In my quest for adventure, I have swum in the cold waters of Antarctica, climbed an active volcano in Iceland, trekked with gorillas in Uganda, and mingled with locals in North Korea.
The past decade or so of travel has brought me to over 145 countries across seven continents and I've lived in Spain, UK, US, and the Netherlands. Currently, I'm based in the Caribbean shores of Mexico with my husband and our tiny explorer. With hundreds of articles and three books under my belt, I hope to continue to share my travel stories and inspire others.
