About Priscilla

Born and raised in Miami (with roots in Nicaragua and Mexico), I began my writing career focusing on what makes the 305 such a magical place (despite all the traffic, heat, and humidity). Years later, I now write about the intersections of travel, family life, arts and culture, health and wellness, accessibility, queer identity, and Latinidad for a slew of publications from the New York Times, Yahoo, USA Today's 10Best, Fodor's, and The Guardian, to Parents, Travelocity, The Advocate, The Washington Post, and more.

After spending time exploring the U.S. as a Couchsurfer, these days you'll find me going on adventures both solo and with my family by plane or road trip, with a much deeper appreciaton for comfortable hotel beds.

Currently based in Denver, I spend my days writing, running, practicing yoga, exploring museums and street art, watching entirely way too many TV shows and films, and going to concerts, music festivals, and comic/fan conventions.
