About Rachel
Originally from the UK, I’m a well-published travel writer and editor with a passion for following the roads less travelled. My home since 1998 has been the beautiful island of Bali, which has enabled me to travel extensively throughout the vast Indonesian Archipelago, exploring a whole host of exotic destinations: glorious beaches, remote spice islands, mountain retreats, rainforests, traditional villages and historic towns. For a few month of each year, when I’m not sailing the Indonesian seas, swimming with giant manta rays or marveling at the courtship dances of the birds of paradise, you'll find me chasing the splendours of New Zealand. All of this and more becomes the inspiration for my travel tales.
