I was born in Margate a good few years before its current regeneration and, ever since, have been fascinated by the UK's underrated seaside resorts - especially along the Kent, Essex and Sussex coasts. I've specialised in writing about these for broadsheets and glossy magazines from The Guardian to Conde Nast and Sunday Times, as well as off-the-beaten-track coastal towns in places like Belgium, France, Sicily, Malta and Morocco. When I'm not breathing in the salty air, I'm based in East London.
