Preah Palilay

Temples of Angkor

Preah Palilay is located about 200m north of the Royal Enclosure’s northern wall. It was erected during the rule of Jayavarman VII and originally housed a Buddha, which has long since vanished. There are several huge tree roots looming large over the central tower, making for a memorable photo opportunity of a classic 'jungle temple'.
