Museo Arqueol贸gico 'La Cueva del Para铆so'

Top choice in Baracoa

Baracoa's most impressive museum, La Cueva del Para铆so is a series of caves that were once Ta铆no burial chambers. Among nearly 2000 authentic Ta铆no pieces are unearthed skeletons, ceramics, 3000-year-old petroglyphs and a replica of the 脥dolo de Tabaco, a sculpture found in Mais铆 in 1903 and considered to be one of the most important Ta铆no finds in the Caribbean.

One of the staff will enthusiastically show you around. The museum is 800m southeast of Hotel El Castillo. Tickets can be purchased at Ecotur.
