For spectacular sea and island views without the physical exertion of climbing Fossa di Vulcano, follow the signposted road to Capo Grillo, about 7km southeast of Vulcano port, near the mid-island settlement of Piano. From here you'll get breathtaking perspectives on Lipari and Salina, with Panarea, Stromboli and Filicudi floating off in the distance.
