Set in Edenic gardens crowded with flowers, this tranquil and secluded lodge's five chalets overlook a narrow river gorge, where clothes are washed and village life goes on. The chalets' 10 rooms don't disappoint, with heavy drapes, downlights and step-through mozzie nets.
With its woodcarvings and Gule Wamkulu masks, the restaurant serves simple meals of beef or chicken stew (MK6000) or vegetable curry (MK5500) with rice, boiled potatoes or spaghetti. To find Namalikhate, turn left at the Kungoni Centre of Culture & Art and follow the road uphill behind the missionaries' residence.
