Government Gardens

Rotorua

The manicured Government Gardens surrounding the Rotorua Museum are a wonderful example of the blending of English (rose gardens, ponds, croquet lawns and bowling greens) and M膩ori traditions (carvings at the entrance and subtly blended into the buildings). Being Rotorua, there are thermal pools bubbling away, and it's well worth taking a walk along the active geothermal area at the lake's edge.
