British Airways is offering people the opportunity to buy real aircraft crockery 漏 British Airways
Most of us are grounded at present, but if you fancy recreating a flying experience at home, British Airways is offering people the opportunity to buy real aircraft crockery and cabin items. There is also the opportunity to acquire a piece of history by purchasing items such as aircraft trolleys and canisters taken from the Boeing 747, which the airline has now fully retired.
Dining crockery such as William Edwards plates, soup bowls, cups, saucers and butter dishes are available to allow customers to create an authentic first class flying experience at home over the festive period. Those who want to take it a step further can pick up bread baskets, towels, champagne flutes, coasters and the Club World casserole dish. After they鈥檝e dined in style, customers can relax in airline slippers and a day blanket, which are also on sale.
The items are a mixture of new and secondhand, some of which have circled the globe hundreds of times. 鈥淭his is an incredible one-off opportunity for people to bring the magic of flying with British Airways into their own homes," says Carolina Martinoli, British Airways鈥 director of brand and customer experience. "We know that these special items will fly, and we are delighted to be able to offer them in time for Christmas to give people the opportunity to make it memorable during a difficult year.鈥
Items will be available to purchase from Whatabuy . British Airways is encouraging customers to share photographs of themselves using the items in their own homes tagging @British_Airways and using the hashtag #BAathome.
