White Horse Oyster & Seafood Bar


One of Edinburgh's oldest pubs was transformed in 2017 into this intriguing seafood restaurant. The decor is bare stone and wood-panelling in shades of slate grey and brown, providing a dark canvas on which white platters of colourful shellfish and crustaceans shine all the more brightly. The menu also includes small plates (£8 to £12) to accompany a glass of wine.
