Hat Kata is carved in two by a jutting headland. Blonde Hat Kata Yai (known as the main Kata beach) lies on the north side, while Hat Kata Noi unravels to the south. Both are stunning and popular beaches; Kata Yai is the one to head to if you want to surf, while Kata Noi is a little more sheltered.
