Smith’s Point Fish Fry

Top choice

Wednesday night at the Fish Fry is like a giant neighborhood party. Several beachfront shacks fire up oil-drum cookers and fry turbot, lobster and conch fritters for crowds of locals, who gossip the night away eating and drinking cold Kaliks and rum punch. The scene heats up after 9pm, when the live music gets rolling.

Occupying a prime beach position, Outriggers is the focal point of the Fry, getting through 250 pounds of snapper on a good Wednesday. Set a little back from the water, Da Bus Stop is another favorite. Saturday nights are lower key but still good fun.
