Great Smoky Mountains National Park

This remote campground in a forest of hemlock and white pine has spacious campsites arranged off a loop road. Six of the 27 sites lie along the excellent fishing waters of Cataloochee Creek. Reservations are mandatory year-round, and the campground fills up on summer evenings. The campground host has brochures and maps.

Take exit 20 off I-40, go west on Hwy 276 to Cove Creek Rd and follow it to Cataloochee Rd.
