Tennessee Pass Sleep Yurts

Top choice

Sleeping in the backcountry has never been so luxurious. With a woodburning stove, kitchenette and even luggage delivery and room service, this is a great way to enjoy all the magic of a quiet winter night without having to wake up with frostbitten toes. Yurts sleep up to six people and are located 1.3 miles from the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center.

Part of the appeal is that you have to ski, snowshoe or hike in: gear can be rented at the Nordic Center, and the yurts are a great base for exploring the Tennessee Pass trail system. You can cook your own meals, but ordering dinner from the cookhouse (mains $15 to $24) is highly recommended.
