New Yorker

Miami

Dating back to the 1950s, the New Yorker has an eye-catching design that's right at home in the architecturally rich MiMo district (short for Miami Modern). Renovated in 2009, the New Yorker has comfortable rooms done up with pop art, geometric designs and solid colors; it's not fancy, but the prices are fair.

There's also a small courtyard and a pool. On the downside, the street out front is quite noisy, though thankfully staff provide free earplugs.
