Look for the upside-down ‘Standard’ sign on the old Lido building on Belle Island (between South Beach and Downtown Miami) and you’ll find the Standard – which is anything but. This boutique blends a bevy of spa services, hipster funk and South Beach sexiness, and the result is a '50s motel gone glam.
There are raised white beds, spa rain showers and gossamer curtains that open onto a courtyard of earthly delights, including a heated hammam (Turkish bath).
