Al Capone used to stay here; maybe he liked the deco ceiling lamps in the lobby, with their sharp, retro sci-fi lines and grand-Gothic proportions, and the intriguing Eastern-themed mirrors. The rooms, with their creams, whites and neutral tones coupled with wood accents, have a soothing if fairly conventional aesthetic.
There's a good Italian restaurant, with outdoor seating, on the ground floor.
