Indiana University's art museum, designed by IM Pei, has an excellent, genre-spanning collection. Highlights include African art, 19th-century American painting, German expressionism and modern works by Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali. The building is closed until fall 2019 for a major renovation and expansion.
