Monument Creek Vista

Grand Canyon National Park South Rim

Excellent view of the confluence of Monument Creek and the Colorado River, known as Granite Rapid. From here westward, the bicycle- and wheelchair-friendly paved Greenway Trail overlaps with the Rim Trail, offering multiple informal overviews and resting areas along its 2.8-mile route west to Hermits Rest; the stretch from Monument Creek east to Hopi Point is one of the most scenic and least crowded.
