Miami Beach in Florida is extending an invitation to visitors who want to capitalize on one of 2021's biggest anticipated trends, the remote "workcation" or working vacation.

While travel is still curtailed due to the ongoing pandemic, the news of the first vaccine doses being administered in numerous countries has many people dreaming of their return to travel. Miami Beach is hoping to encourage visitors with its culinary offerings, nightlife, rich culture and shopping, and future visitors can explore the opportunity to extend their vacations and settle into its lifestyle. It is also home to the New World Symphony, Miami City Ballet, Miami Beach Convention Center, as well as international festivals and art exhibitions, boat and auto shows and 12 public parks. It has seven miles of beaches and is easily accessible from the Port of Miami and Miami International Airport.

Fontainebleau Miami Beach, The Ritz Carlton South Beach and Shelborne South Beach are three of the hotels offering extended stay packages for individuals or families. They will work with guests around facilitating remote work or e-learning through the various packages on offer. In addition, a number of Miami Beach restaurants, local businesses and museums are enhancing experiences in the new year. Visitors can plan on al fresco lunch breaks, sweeping views from hotel suites for work inspiration and a number of outdoor activities, including paddle boarding, yoga, kayaking and parasailing.

"We know many are looking for unique ways to experience new destinations while continuing to work and study as we look ahead to a new year," says Steve Adkins, chair of the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority. "Our city's signature hotels recognize the desire for change and the flexibility remote working now provides, and are dedicated to offering incentives and discounts to deliver on traveler demands."
